One of the big talking points going in to the WWE Hall Of Fame ceremony this year is not the induction of Kurt Angle, yes Kurt Angle should be the largest talking point but something has quickly overshadowed that particular induction to a slight degree. The big talking point has become Jim Cornette inducting the Rock N Roll Express in to the Hall Of Fame in 2017. In order to understand why this has become a huge talking point one only has to go back on Jim Cornette’s podcast and shoot interviews over the years and listen to the comments that Jim Cornette has made about current WWE roster members and the WWE itself. Jim Cornette also was one to quickly talk down the WWE Hall Of Fame as well and stated that he never felt like the WWE would reach out to him to ever be apart of it.
Well here we are in 2017 and only days away from the WWE Hall Of Fame and all the world wants to know what Jim Cornette will do when a live microphone is placed in front of him live on the WWE Network. It would be easy to assume that Jim Cornette would go on a rant and pick apart people as he does so incredibly well on his own personal podcast, however Jim Cornette is also a man of great respect when he knows it is warranted.
Just to cover a little bit of background for those of you not old enough to remember or smart enough to log on to one of the many online websites that can explain things to you. The Rock N Roll Express are one of and maybe the greatest tag team of all times. Made up of the team of Ricky Morton and Robert Gibson these two cemented a real name for themselves working for Smokey Mountain Wrestling which was headed up by Jim Cornette. Jim Cornette has always had a deep found respect for Ricky and Robert and was extremely happy for the two of them when it was announced they will be inducting in to the WWE Hall Of Fame Class of 2017.
It is with this respect that Jim Cornette has for The Rock N Roll Express that makes me feel that the world is talking about this for all the wrong reasons right now. If you are planning to tune in to the WWE Hall Of Fame on Friday expecting a Jim Cornette rant you are going to be horribly disappointed. Jim Cornette I believe is going to shock the world when he comes out and delivers an extremely well written, heartfelt, and respectful induction speech as he inducts his good friends Ricky and Robert in to this years Hall Of Fame. I feel that Jim Cornette not only is going to give an amazing speech but he is going to open the doors for The Midnight Express to be inducting down the road in to the WWE Hall Of Fame just like they deserve.
I do hope that people will tune in to the WWE Hall Of Fame ceremony this year as it is quite possibly one of the best line ups this year. Focus truly should be on those who are being inducted as opposed to who is inducting them. I am a fan of Jim Cornette and happy that I will get the opportunity to see him on WWE television at least one more time. Jim Cornette will end up delivering one of the greatest induction speeches of the night and possibly one the greatest speeches at a Hall Of Fame ceremony ever, just do not expect him to turn around and finish his night by saying “Thank You, Fuck You, Bye”
